The Apache Relay will embark on an extensive North American tour this fall, including shows supporting Trampled by Turtles and The Wild Feathers. See below for complete tour details. The tour is in celebration of the band's acclaimed new self-titled album, which is out now on So Recordings (iTunes, Amazon). Of the music, Rolling Stone asserts, "...echoes classic Gamble and Huff productions before folding out into a classic Spector-ish wall of sound," while the Seattle Times calls it, "an 11-song collection full of satisfying, layered moments."

In advance of the tour, the official music video for the band's new single, "Katie Queen of Tennessee" recently premiered at NPR Music and can now be viewed/embedded here. Of the song and video, NPR Music's Bob Boilen praises, "The Apache Relay's 'Katie Queen of Tennessee' is easily one of the catchiest tunes I've heard this year. And in the song's new video, a troupe of 40 young dancers raise the fun to heights I hadn't imagined with a blissfully, perfectly choreographed routine...like The Wizard of Oz meeting Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon for the first time...a match that was simply meant to be." Behind the scenes footage of the video can be viewed now at www.katiequeenoftennessee.com.
Formed by chance in a college dorm, The Apache Relay is Michael Ford Jr. (vocals), Mike Harris (guitar, vocals), Brett Moore (keys, guitar, mandolin), Kellen Wenrich (fiddle, keys), Ben Ford (guitar, vocals) and Stephen Smith (drums). Since their debut, the band has opened for Grammy award-winning Mumford
& Sons and performed at multiple festivals including Bonnaroo, the Newport Folk Festival, Firefly Music Festival, Voodoo Music Experience, Bristol Rhythm and Roots and Gentlemen of the Road.
