Supa Bwe Releases 'Time For Me' Ft. Rexx Life Raj

Supa Bwe releases his self-produced single, "Time For Me," featuring Rexx Life Raj. Over stripped down guitar chords and gentle hi-hat rolls, Supa Bwe showcases his sonic range with a more subdued approach than fans typically expect from the wild and defiant Chicago artist. "Time For Me" is the first single from Supa Bwe's forthcoming EP, Just Say Thank You, that's set to release April 10, 2019 via EMPIRE. Supa Bwe is a genre-defying DIY artist and producer who grew up on the 800 block of Chicago Ave and Lockwood before relocating to the more suburban neighborhood of Oak Park. Best known for tracks like "Up Right Now" ft. Xavier Omär and "Fool Wit It Freestyle" ft. Chance The Rapper, Supa Bwe has "worked himself into an enviable spot in the Chicago hip-hop scene-insofar as it's possible to tell who'll break out next, he's at the head of the line." (Chicago Reader) "His style has been very influential," says Andrew Barber, a Chicago music industry veteran and founder of popular blog Fake Shore Drive. "He should be getting more credit for what he brings to the game, as far as his delivery, how he kind of yell-sings on the track. I think a lot of artists are doing that now, and he was the first I heard using that style." After spending several years honing his skills within Chicago's underground and collaborating with a who's who of the city's hip-hop elite, including Twista, Mick Jenkins, Saba, NoName, Taylor Bennett and many more, it wasn't until the December 2017 release of Supa Bwe's debut album, Finally Dead, that his popularity began to explode outside of the city. His single, "I Hate Being Alive," received a Cole Bennett-directed music video and the album earned praise from mainstream press outlets like Complex, Hypebeast, XXL and many more. In 2018, Supa Bwe made serious noise when his disbanded group, Hurt Everybody, reunited for a concert hosted by prominent tastemakers Lyrical Lemonade. The show sold out the 1400+ capacity Concord Music Hall almost instantly and proved Supa Bwe's undeniable influence within his city. After closing out the year with the release of "Entropy" ft. Dounia, which was handpicked by Pitchfork as one of the Best New Rap Songs, Supa Bwe keeps pushing his music into new territory.
