On November 3, Brooklyn-based art-rock band Sky-Pony will play an acoustic show at The Living Room.
Since its formation in 2012, Sky-Pony has garnered a cult following for sets that blur the line between rock show and theatrical event. They're known for quirky and lush indie-pop with virtuosic lead female vocals -- as well as for their extravagantly-staged live sets. On November 3, they'll strip down their sound for an intimate acoustic show at Rockwood Music Hall. Sky-Pony Unplugged, if you will. Complete with cello, upright bass, and Motown-style vocal harmonies. It all happens on Sunday November 3, 9pm atRockwood Music Hall (196 Allen St, NYC).Free with a $5 suggested donation. More info at http://www.sky-pony.com or http://www.rockwoodmusichall.com/. Sky-Pony is a Brooklyn based band that serves up lush, lyrical, often cheeky indie-pop with a healthy dose of theatrics. They incorporate costumes, choreography, and projections into their high-energy live shows. Rock concert meets performance art meets burlesque, you might say. Their discography includes two EPs: Say You Love Me Like You Mean It and Raptured Live, both available on itunes.
