The version of "Cold Cold Love" that appears in Please Stand By is the original recording that MOSHER initially planned to release on a forthcoming solo album but felt it fit well on Calico The Band's Under Blue Skies album which was released in September of 2017.

"'Cold Cold Love' tells a story of troubled reckless love gone wrong," saysMOSHER. "I recorded this original version of 'Cold Cold Love' in 2011 in Alamosa, Colorado at Howlin' Dog Records with Don Richmond producing. I'm honored that this recording has found a home supporting the brilliant acting of Dakota Fanning and Toni Collette in the film Please Stand By, particularly being featured in the emotional scene where Dakota Fanning's character Wendy is down on her luck and realizes all her money has been stolen."

The song also marks the debut release on Blackbird Records, a joint venture between MOSHER and Music Supervisor and record label executive Eric Craig whose credits include Moonlight, Drive, Stranger Things and Lady Bird, among others. More information on Craig can be found via IMDB here and All Music here.
