Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) Ensemble School has announced the addition of private music lessons to its curriculum. The Ensemble School is a training ground for professional and aspiring actors that since 1995 has been offering classes to students who have gone on to work on stage, t.v. and film in NYC, Chicago and Hollywood. The new private music lessons will include instruction in voice, piano, guitar and music theory. All classes will be held in a new rehearsal studio at Maryland Ensemble Theatre located in the historic FSK Hotel at 31 W Patrick Street in downtown Frederick. MET Ensemble Member and professional music instructor, Thom Huenger, will begin offering classes at MET the week of March 3rd.

Open houses will be held on February 22nd from 3-5pm and Saturday, March 1 from 3-5pm.

Huenger holds a BA in Music Composition from Sheperd University is also a Master of Music Candidate at Shenandoah University. He is a founding member of local band Silent Old Mtns. and has frequently worked on music for Maryland Ensemble Theatre productions including as composer for the Fun Company's recent award winning (NYC Fringe Best Ensemble) show, The Young Olympians. Huenger has been offering private music lessons locally for years and Maryland Ensemble Theatre is thrilled he is bringing his talents to The Ensemble School.
