Omaha Performing Arts and the Metro Activities Conference co-presents the first annual Metro Magic Show & Jazz Choir Extravaganza at the Kiewit Concert Hall inside the Holland Performing Arts Center, 1200 Douglas St., on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Metro Magic Show & Jazz Choir Extravaganza is designed to be a collaborative performance opportunity for Omaha metro students. Starting at 2:00 p.m., nearly 400 high school students will sing and dance across the Holland Center's Kiewit Concert Hall stage. This non-competitive event will feature jazz and show choirs from 10 local high schools, including: Bellevue East High School, Burke High School, Millard North High School, Millard West High School, Omaha North High School, Omaha Northwest High School, Papillion La Vista High School, Papillion La Vista South High School, Omaha South High School and Westside High School.

The Metro Magic Show & Jazz Choir Extravaganza is sponsored by the Metro Activities Conference and represents the first of many show choir events produced in collaboration with Omaha Performing Arts. "We are thrilled to work with Omaha Performing Arts to give local high school jazz and show choirs a venue to showcase their talents," said Doran Johnson, choral director at Westside High School. "Don't miss this opportunity to see some of the Midwest's highly acclaimed ensembles!"
