NYC’s Lucius features the commanding and intertwining vocals of Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe above a foundation of lush yet danceable instrumentation created by bandmates Danny Molad, Peter Lalish and Andrew Burri. After releasing their debut EP earlier this year, the band put together a special compilation featuring themselves and some very talented musical friends covering each other’s songs. Today they share their own version of the Freelance Whales track “Ghosting,” which you can download as a FREE MP3 where it premiered with ELLE or HERE.

Lucius’ self-titled debut EP, produced by Tony Berg (Beck, Aimee Mann), Steve Wall (Meshell Ndegeocello), and band member Dan Molad (Elizabeth & The Catapult, Here We Go Magic), is mix of emotionally-charged and upbeat 60s-inspired tracks. It received praise from Seventeen Magazine to NPR and landed the band live dates supporting Milo Greene & JD McPherson this fall.

With a live show that bursts with energy from beginning to end, Lucius is currently on the road with Pearl and the Beard & You Won’t. Be sure to catch the band live in your city!
