Film icon Johnny Depp took some time off from shooting his new music-themed movie LUCKY THEM to serenade some lucky - and very appreciative - Seattle coffeeshop attendees judging from a recent picture posted to Twitter.

Donning a cap and a cat-like grin, Depp strums a guitar astride a comely female, who is beaming ear to ear in the thrall of the internationally recognized screen heartthrob.

As movie musical fans well know, Depp has proven his singing ability previously, scoring rave reviews for his moving turn in one of Stephen Sondheim's most memorable musical masterpieces of all time: the 2007 Tim Burton-directed SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award and won the Golden Globe for Best Actor (In A Musical or Comedy).

Of course, as a musician, Depp contributed guitar work to the soundtracks for the films CHOCOLAT and Once Upon a Time IN MEXICO and most recently appeared in the music video for Paul McCartney's "My Valentine" alongside Natalie Portman.

Incidentally, in LUCKY THEM Depp teams Depp up with a Broadway star who auditioned for the lead female role in SWEENEY TODD but unfortunately lost out, Golden Globe-winner Toni Collette.

VENUS IN FURS Tony Award-winner Nina Arianda also appears in the forthcoming film, which also stars Thomas Haden Church.
