Jill Scott to Play Radio City Music Hall on New Year's Eve with Luke James & DJ Premier

MSG Entertainment and Live Nation announced today that three-time Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Jill Scott will take the stage at Radio City Music Hall on New Year's Eve with special guests Luke James and DJ Premier. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 1 at 11:00AM (EST).

Jill Scott began her career collaborating with musical icons The Roots, Will Smith, and Common in the late 1990s before releasing her debut record, Who is Jill Scott? Words & Sounds, Vol. 1 in 2000. The record quickly went double platinum and earned her several Grammy nominations including Best New Artist. Since then, Scott has penned a New York Times bestselling compilation of poems titled The Moments, The Minutes, The Hours, starred in four feature films and television series/movies and released three follow-up albums, including 2011's, Light of the Sun, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hip-Hop & R&B Chart; a career first for the singer.

In addition to several Grammy award nominations, Scott has also been nominated for a Golden Globe award, an IPA Satellite award, an American Film Institute award and an NAACP Image Award for her appearance in the HBO hit mini-series,The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, for which she won the coveted Peabody Award.

Tickets for the Chase Visa Concert Series early on-sale will be available from Friday, October 25 at 11 AM through Thursday, October 31. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, November 1 at 11AM andwill be available through Ticketmaster Charge By Phone (1-866-858-0008) and all Ticketmaster Outlets. Tickets will also be available in person at MSG, Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre Box Offices on Saturday, November 2.
