About Hank Williams, Jr. Hank Williams, Jr. is a musician and singer-songwriter, the son of the legendary country-music recording artist Hank Williams. His style is a blend of blues, traditional country and Southern rock.

In 2006, he opened for Super Bowl XL and was honored by CMT with the Johnny Cash Visionary Award at the CMT Music Awards. In 2007, he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2008, he received the BMI Icon honor at the 56th annual BMI Country Awards.
