Grammy Winner Chris Botti to Return to the Grand, 5/3

The Grand 1894 Opera House welcomes Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Chris Botti on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 4 pm. Botti will perform with his 11-member musical ensemble, plus a guest vocalist and a guest violinist. Starting with his 2004 Jazz CD When I Fall In Love, and continuing with acclaimed recordings including To Love Again, Italia, Chris Botti In Boston, and Impressions, trumpeter Chris Botti's stellar parade of albums have firmly established him as the world's largest selling jazz instrumentalist. He received a Grammy for "Best Pop Instrumental Album" in 2013, and has had four #1 albums on Billboard's Jazz Albums charts.

Prior to launching his solo recording efforts in 1995, Chris toured with the legendary Frank Sinatra, and spent a decade performing and recording with Paul Simon. Botti's list of collaborators from this period reads like a who's who in the industry: Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell, Bette Midler, Natalie Cole, and The Who's Roger Daltrey. In 1999, he toured and collaborated on a album with Sting.
