Many people were confused when Will Smith congratulated the Columbian band, Bomba Estereo, on Facebook for their Latin Grammy nominations. It turns out there was something more to it after all.

Billboard reports that Smith and Bomba have teamed up to release a remix of the band's popular track "Fiesta". The remix, which will premiere on radio on Friday Oct. 2, is out on Sony Music Latin and will be available for sale on all digital outlets.

The biggest question many fans are asking is how Smith and Bomba ended up recording together. Unlike many collaborations that are pushed by labels and managers, this collaboration came about because of Will Smith's interest.

When Smith was in Colombia a few months back, he heard Bomba's track "Fiesta" playing all over and loved it immediately.

"When I was told that Will Smith wanted to collaborate on a remix with Bomba, I couldn't believe it," said Simón Mejia, Bomba Estéreo's founder/multi-instrumentalist in a statement. "This opportunity to work with Will was beyond anything we have dreamed of. It's not a traditional featuring -- it's just magic."

"Fiesta," which is nominated for a Latin Grammy in the record of the year category, is an uptempo dance track. The new remix adds Smith's rapping in English and Spanish to the mix. A music video was already released in Los Angeles and will be released soon.

Does this mean that Smith has decided to return to music? We'll see what move he makes next. Listen to the track below!

"We all had a blast together at the video shoot, and we want to thank Will for being so warm and such a pleasure to work with... and for rapping in Spanish!" said Mejía.
