Dolly Parton Says Beyoncé Recorded a 'Jolene' Cover For Her New Album

Dolly Parton says that Beyoncé has recorded a cover of "Jolene" for her new album.

The country music icon says that while they have not recorded a duet for the album, she claims that the singer has recorded a new version of "Jolene" for her upcoming country album.

"I think she's recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it's probably gonna be on her country album, which I'm very excited about that. I love her! She's a beautiful girl and a great singer," Parton told Wyoming News.

"We've kind of sent messages back and forth through the years. And she and her mother were like fans, and I was always touched that they were fans, and I always thought she was great."

Beyoncé has not yet revealed the track names or further details regarding the new project. It is unclear how "Jolene" will be incorporated, if it is a full cover or a reworked version. The release could be similar to "Break My Soul (Queens Remix)," when Beyoncé interpolated Madonna's "Vogue" with her single.

Act II of Beyoncé's three-act project – which started with Renaissance during summer of 2022 – will be released on March 29. The first two singles from the project are out now. Listen to "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages" here!

In 2022, Beyoncé released Renaissance, and is currently on a sold out global tour.  Throughout her career she has amassed multiple chart-topping singles worldwide, including: “Crazy in Love,” “Baby Boy,” ”Irreplaceable,” “Halo,” “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and “Break My Soul.”
