Concert Dates Announces For Adam Lambert's 'Glam Nation' Tour

Tour dates have been announced for Adam Lambert's first North American tour, which will be titled "Glam Nation." The tour will feature opening acts Orianthi and Alison Iraheta.

Lambert recently updated his Twitter: "The Glam Nation Tour dates will be announced soon! For those who didn't know, my opening acts are Orianthi and Allison Iraheta!!!"

In addition, in a recent interview following Lambert's "Idol" performance, Lambert spoke to "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest about the upcoming tour.

"I am working on it right now. I am actually about to leave on Sunday for three weeks to go over to the U.K. I go over there. My album is coming out, I'm so excited to do some TV shows and promo out there. All over Europe, it has been a really good response. Then I come back, and right away I start rehearsals for my first North American tour. " Lambert says of his idea for the shows: "I want it to be atmospheric. I want it to feel like you are somewhere else. I want it to transport people. I can tell you right now that it is going to be called Glam Nation. And it is going to be very glittery and sparkly, but it is going to have that mystery and the mood and the sexy and the celebration. I think the fans are going to be in for a real treat."

Lambert first got the attention of the nation last year during the eighth season of American Idol, with his wide vocal range and unique musical style. He has subsequently landed high on the Billboard charts with multiple debuts on the Hot 100 and the Hot Digital Songs charts. His first album, For Your Entertainment (19 Recordings/RCA), recently debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Charts with 198,469 albums sold in the first week. Lambert additionally recorded the soundtrack "Time for Miracles" for the disaster movie 2012, released on October 20, 2009 as a side project single. The song also appears on For Your Entertainment.

Lambert recently participated in the American Idols LIVE! Tour 2009 with his fellow Top 10 contestants. He is the recipient of the Young Hollywood Award for Artist of the Year and the Teen Choice Award for Reality/Variety Star. Barbara Walters also named him one of the 10 most fascinating people of 2009.

As an actor, Lambert appeared in WICKED twice, once with the touring company in March 2005 for a six month contract, and then opening in the sitdown Los Angeles production in February 2007 and remaining with the show until October 2008. For both engagements in Wicked,he was a member of The Ensemble and understudied the role of Fieryo, the show's love interest.
