It's that time of year again-mistletoe, snow, funny sweaters, mulled wine, and music, of course. Communion's Christmas Special begins in December celebrating 2013 and featuring performances by Rosco Bandana and support from local artists, with further holiday merriment including DJ sets and carol singers. Tickets are on sale now at www.communionmusic.com. A special holiday discounted ticket will be offered at $5, except in Philadelphia where they'll be sold at that price with a Toys for Tots donation (otherwise $10).

Modeled on the legendary Communion night in Notting Hill, London where the company was born-the club night series brings different artists to nine cities each month: New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Bloomington, Louisville, Nashville, Minneapolis, Madison and Rock Island. The club nights will return each month with a new lineup to be announced. See below for full tour routing.

Communion was formed in London in 2006 by musicians Ben Lovett (Mumford & Sons), Kevin Jones (Bear's Den), and producer Ian Grimble (Manic Street Preachers, Travis, Beautiful South). Following the underground success achieved in London, the club night moved first to Brighton and then gradually to 15 cities in the U.K. and U.S. with a further outpost in Melbourne, Australia. And it was from the relationships and experiences forged at those Communion nights, that Communion Records, Communion Presents and, most recently, Communion Publishing were born.

Heralded across the British press for its unique and deliberate community spirit and an enviable reputation for introducing some of the globe's most highly acclaimed young acts (NME called Communion "one of the greatest indie success stories of recent years"), Communion's events have become one of the U.K.'s foremost homes for eclectic, exciting parties for respectful, passionate music fans.

Artists to emerge from the Communion fold include Michael Kiwanuka, Daughter, Gotye, and Ben Howard.

Communion co-founder Ben Lovett explains, "In a time where friendships are formed online, musicians are less overnight sensations than afternoon flash-in-pans and society is living at a pace where fast food seems slow, we are keen to rebuild a sense of Community in the world. Support, respect, brotherhood, growth and development are some of the values that make up the Communion organization. This exists on and off stage. We champion musicians who encourage one another, regardless of genre, or level of commercial success. This support in turn led to many of our artists inadvertently becoming successful. We hope to continue and build on this reputation."
