Colson Baker (aka 'Machine Gun Kelly') Takes TV and Film by Storm

Richard Colson Baker, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, announces his recurring role in the upcoming Showtime series "Roadies." Created by Cameron Crowe and executive produced by Crowe, Winnie Holzman and J.J. Abrams the show is set to premiere June 26, 10 PM EST/PST on Showtime. As part of the ensemble cast, Baker stars alongside Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall and many more.

The comedy series documents the rock world through the experiences of backstage workers facilitating cross-country tours for an arena-level band. Baker portrays the role of 'Wes' playing opposite 'Kelly Ann' (Imogen Poots).

Since Baker's acting debut in Beyond The Lights as 'Kid Culprit' in 2014, the rapper/actor is also set to star on the silver screen in films Nerve (from Lionsgate starring Emma Roberts & Dave Franco) and Viral coming this Fall. Additionally, he is co-executive producer of the film The Land which premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and will be distributed by Macro/IFC later this year.

Cleveland, OH native Machine Gun Kelly began his entertainment career in 2006 with the release of multiple mixtapes. This lead to nationwide attention and later a record deal with Bad Boy and Interscope Records in 2011. MGK's first album "Lace Up" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and took the number two spot on Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop charts in 2012. He has since released several studio albums and mixtapes leading to his latest effort "General Admission" (2015), which debuted at number one in its first week. He has garnered critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, SPIN, XXL and People Magazine with notable fashion features from Vogue, Vogue Italy and Seventh Man. In addition, he has earned an MTV European Music Award and mtvU Woodie.

Music fans can catch him at NYC's Central Park Summer Stage performing with NAS and Erykah Badu on July 25. The star's annual EST Fest will also return this year featuring the principal cast of his film "The Land." MGK continues on his 'Road Trippin' tour concluding December 1 in Glasgow, UK.
