Colette Carr Releases Debut Album 'Skitszo' Today

Rapper-Singer Colette Carr releases her 20-song debut album,Skitszo today via Cherrytree Records/Interscope.

Having released Skitszo Parts 1, 2, 3and 4 to blog-acclaim and fervent fan ("Goers") support, Colette now unleashes the completeSkitszo albumfeaturing head-bobbing, new single "I Don't Wanna Go." Carr hasco-written all of the songs on Skitszo and collaborated with super-producers RedOne, Martin "Cherry Cherry Boom Boom" Kierszenbaum, Frankmusik and The Cataracs. Colette's combination of singing and spitting ("spinging"), combined with her unique flow and unexpected lyrics are a wild mix of sassy humor and spitfire personality. Never has her immediately contagious style been more present than in her new single "I Don't Wanna Go" which blends the best of Biz Markie, Digital Underground and Bugs Bunny and mixes it with a healthy splash of Colette's charisma and Malibu sunshine.

Carr has been creating and innovating at the same time. The MTVU top video winner and Billboard Unsigned Chart topper released her music in the most topical and urgent way - by issuing Skitszo at the exact pace in which her audience craved it - in five 4-song installments delivered every 2 months leading up to today's release.

"I'm not gonna say this wasn't high-speed stakes," confesses Colette.
