Sandy Springs' best little music spot for live acoustic and jazz, the Hungry Ear Coffee House at Northwest Unitarian Universalist Congregation, presents two acts Saturday, November 1st. Atlanta singer-songwriter, Bruce Gilbert takes the stage, followed by one of the world's most talented acoustic guitar masters, Curtis Jones.

Bruce Gilbert describes himself as a "musical mad scientist," mixing ingredients to make magic happen. And you can count on magic when he's at the piano and mic. He is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter/arranger and teacher of jazz, blues. Known worldwide as the fastest acoustic guitarist alive, Curtis Jones' solos are exciting, complex and beautiful. He's developed guitar styles all his own from Flamenco, Jazz, Folk, New Acoustic, World and more. Curtis is a prolific composer, who has produced over 800 pieces of music spanning many genres. The Hungry Ear (www.HungryEarCoffeeHouse.com) at Northwest Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 1025 Mt. Vernon Highway NW in Sandy Springs, Georgia 30327 is a community outreach program. NWUUC promotes religious freedom, spiritual growth and ethical action. Concerts are held on the first Saturday of every month beginning at 8PM, and regularly feature a lineup of nationally acclaimed folk, country, jazz and vocal artists. Admission is $5 with open seating and canned food donations are requested for the Community Assistance Center (www.OurCAC.org) NWUUC is located west of Roswell Road, just off of Northside Drive (285-Exit 22).
