Brooklyn-based musician/producer Rena is set to release her debut EP Rude Chick on May 6th. Known most notably for her work featured in Magic Mike XXL + an Acura TLX advert, her musical style has evolved over the past several years from the fierce diva in 2014's "Jealous" video to the take-the-mic-by-the-balls female-centered punk rock on Rude Chick.

"There was a time when I was making "sad girl" music and then once I moved to New York I was like, "wait, what the f am I doing?" Rock and roll was always what spoke to me the most," explains Rena. That's what this record is for me- POWER!, I love the raw energy of the riot grrrl movement and female rock in general. 'Rude Chick' is my introduction to the world, letting everyone know what I'm all about- I don't take any s!"

Today, Rena reveals"Rude Chick" with Bitch Mag in anticipation of the forthcoming EP release May 6th. Highlighted by wailing guitars and relentless drum beats, the song unapologetically champions ideals of feminine power and sexuality as the Rena's muscular guitar solos meld with her tenacious vocals to cinch the track's punk vibe.

The Rude Chick EP is a five track collection that features lead single "Symptom Of Youth" which NYLON proclaimed "a solid call-and-repeat anthem for the quintessential punk." Produced by Rena herself + mixed/mastered by Dan Walker and Will Broussard at Submarine Studio in Brooklyn, the EP sees Rena embrace a major stylistic shift.
