Ellen Kaye, entertainer/entrepreneur and pianist/composer Jed Distler come together again after many years to share their deep and abiding love for the music of Tom Waits in their show Kiss Me Like a Stranger Once Again.

Jed Distler and Ellen Kaye's Tom Waits' history stretches back: when they first met at Sarah Lawrence College in 1979 they performed Grapefruit Moon together; in 1998, on the Coney Island records CD 2 AM, they recorded Eggs & Sausage and Muriel.

Over the years Distler and Kaye have taken their Tom Waits renditions from The Monkey Bar to the Algonquin to the Angry Squire and beyond. Now they are bringing them to Moscow 57 and to Cornelia Street Café.

Producer/entrepreneur Seth Goldman goes back to the Sarah Lawrence days with Ellen and Jed. "Long before it was fashionable, Ellen was plumbing the depths of Waits's work and making the interpretations all her own." Goldman co-produced both 2 AM and Ellen's second CD, 3 AM...the dogs, the milkman and me, which includes Waits's Saving All My Love For You and Midnight Lullaby.

Guest musicians joining Ellen and Jed are Jordan Pettay on saxophone, accordionist Yuri Lemeshev, Benjamin Franklin Brown on bass and Ron Tierno on drums.

Kiss Me Like a Stranger Once Again will be performed on Friday, March 27th and Friday, April 17th at Moscow 57. It will also be performed on Thursday, April 9th at Cornelia Street Café.

Join them and watch as this show evolves, while they explore new tunes and immerse themselves in their old favorites...as they get Drunk on the Moon and look deep into The Heart of a Saturday Night.
