The award-winning kindie music duo Play Date has a bevy of family-friendly shows planned for a fall tour that will take them from the Boston area to Seattle, with stops in California, Long Island, Delaware, Brooklyn, and Chicago, from September through November. Complete details are on the Play Date website, HERE.

Greg Attonito (lead vocalist and founding member of punk legends The Bouncing Souls) and singer/songwriter Shanti Wintergate are the husband-and-wife team at the heart of the delightfully dynamic Play Date. They'll bring their guitars and their infectious, positive energy to all their shows this fall, playing fan favorites like "Dance Like a Monster," "Anyone Can Sing," and "Rad," as well as performing tunes from their recently released album, We All Shine.

With the strike of a gong, Play Date will also bring Ninja Pajama Parties to select cities this fall. "Ninja Pajamas," a song from We All Shine, has been saving parents and kids from the bedtime blues, one family at a time. Everyone is invited to join Greg and Shanti in their favorite pajamas (or Ninja Pajamas, if they've got them) for a fun, interactive music performance that also features coloring a Ninja Dream Mandala, learning the ways of the Ninja Dancer, and rocking out with stealth and style in their PJs.

Additionally, Play Date will release a digital Ninja Dream Training: Guided Bedtime Meditation for Kids on August 27. Pre-orders may be placed HERE.

Play Date's new album, We All Shine is filled with soulful, stylish, and unforgettable tunes, each one crafted with a sophistication that will surprise even the grumpiest of grownups. Listeners will hear flecks of garage rock, dancehall, pop, and synth, with influences ranging from Patsy Cline to They Might Be Giants.

The goal of Play Date's music is to inspire children to use their imaginations -- and their dance moves -- to explore the world around them. The aptly named and critically praised 2012 Play Date debut album, Imagination, was honored with a NAPPA Silver Award, a Parents' Choice "Fun Stuff" Award, and a Creative Child "Seal of Excellence" Award.

The inspiration for Play Date can be traced to I Went for a Walk, an award-winning children's book released in 2007, written by Shanti Wintergate with illustrations by Greg Attonito. To promote the book, Shanti and Greg toured the U.S. as an author/illustrator team, performing music as part of their program. The positive response to their music was heartening and planted the seed that would, five years later, blossom as Play Date.

Today, Play Date tours coast to coast, bringing its magical music to performing arts centers, schools, libraries, and community centers, while also rocking some of the biggest, most notable music events of the year, including Austin City Limits, Treefort Music Fest, Yo Gabba Gabba Live, Lollapalooza, and Kindiecomm.
