Arden-Helmed FOR THE RECORD: JOHN HUGHES Adds Second Show at City Winery, 6/27

As previosly reported, FOR THE RECORD: John Hughes celebrates the soundtracks that defined a generation makes its New York City debut at City Winery on June 27th at 8PM. Due to popular demand, a second performance has been added at 10:30pm to accommodate overwelming ticket sales.

FOR THE RECORD: John Hughes features music and moments from The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Weird Science, Home Alone, Vacation, Plains Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck and more. Play list includes "Don't You (Forget About Me)," "If You Leave," "Weird Science," "I'm So Excited," "True," "Danke Schoen," "Twist and Shout," "Holiday Road," "Young Americans," "Try A Little Tenderness" and many more.

Experience what the Los Angeles Times describes as "searingly visceral... the movies sing!" and Entertainment weekly declares as "cutting edge".

Starring Barrett Foa (NCIS: Los Angeles, Broadway's Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Tracie Thoms (Tarantino's Death Proof, Rent, Cold Case), Darren Ritchie (Broadway's Wonderland), Rogelio Douglas Jr. (Broadway's In The Heights, Little Mermaid), Brenna Whitaker, and Jessica Keenan Wynn.

Conceived by Shane Scheel and Chris Bratten, the For The Record series has celebrated the work of Tarantino, John Hughes, Baz Luhrmann and The Coen Brothers. Show At Barre is the permanent Hollywood home for the series. The duo has teamed with The Ace Hotel and will debut the series at their Palm Springs property in the summer of 2011. For The Record: Tarantino will make its theatrical debut during the 2012 SXSW festival in Austin, TX.

Barrett Foa plays series regular Eric Beale on the hit CBS drama, "NCIS: Los Angeles." Currently the #2 scripted show on television, the crime procedural also stars Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J, and Oscar-winner, Linda Hunt. Prior to Hollywood, Foa starred on Broadway in AVENUE Q as Princeton / Rod, and in THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE as Leaf Coneybear. Born and raised in New York City, Barrett attended The Dalton School, Interlochen Arts Academy and received his BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Michigan.

Tracie Thoms has had wide-ranging success in film, television and theatre throughout her career. In 2008 she starred as 'Joanne' in the final weeks of the Broadway musical, RENT. Previously, she played the same role in the film of "RENT" opposite Rosario Dawson, Taye Diggs and Jesse Martin. In 2007, she starred opposite Kurt Russell in Quentin Tarantino's "Grindhouse: Death Proof." She was also featured opposite Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in "The Devil Wears Prada". Tracie starred on Broadway opposite Alfre Woodard in ReGina Taylor's "Drowning Crow." Tracie was a series regular on the longrunning CBS series, "Cold Case." She also starred on the Fox series, "Wonderfalls" and UPN's "As If". Tracie received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Howard University and a graduate degree in acting at the Juilliard School.

Darren Ritchie comes directly from starring in the new Broadway musical Wonderland as the White Knight/Jack. Other credits include Broadway: Bells Are Ringing, Les Miserables, Dracula, Little Shop of Horrors and Thoroughly Modern Millie. National Tours: Fame - The Musical and Little Shop of Horrors. Original workshops: The 60's Project, Altar Boyz, Me and Mrs. Jones and Ghost The Musical, opening on the West End this Spring. Television: Law & Order: SVU, Fox News 1/2 Hour News Hour, Days of Our Lives, Guiding Light, and starred opposite Tiffani-Amber Thiessen in the CBS pilot Stroller Wars. Numerous regional theatre credits, TV commercials and voiceovers. Vocal recordings for award-winning composers Glen Ballard, Dave Stewart and Alan Silvestri. He is represented by Barry McPhearson of APA, Danielle Dell of D2 Management, and Atlas Talent Agency.

Rogelio Douglas, Jr. is a recent LA transplant from Brooklyn, NY. He is an original Broadway cast member of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical "In The Heights" he recently finished the 1st National Tour of In The Heights playing the role of Benny. He was last seen on Broadway in the role of Sebastian the Crab in Disney's "The Little Mermaid". Rogelio has appeared as a lead tap dancer in "Riverdance - The Show" on Broadway, World/National tours and the Film "Riverdance Live from Geneva." Other credits include Kim Fields ‘Holiday Love' on TV One, off-Broadway musical "Celia: The Life and Music of Celia Cruz," the 25th Anniversary of "Dreamgirls" with Jennifer Holliday, and "Five Guys Named Moe" (Alliance Theater).

Jessica Keenan Wynn originated the role of Lois in the award-winning, smash hit musical, Life Could Be A Dream (LADCC Awards, LA Weekly Award, Garland Awards, Ovation-nominated), written and directed by Roger Bean, the creator of the successful Off-Broadway production, The Marvelous Wonderettes. She was most recently seen in Dream this summer at the Laguna Playhouse with the original cast of dreamy boys. She has done multiple workshops for new Disney musicals, including Villains Tonight, written by [title of show] creators Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen, and most recently When You Wish, under the direction of Gordon Greenberg. Jessica is a recent graduate of UCLA's prestigious Ray Bolger Musical Theatre Program. Other credits: Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes. Cathy in The Last 5 Years, Eva Peron in Evita, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Mabel in Mack an Mabel, and Woman 2 in Songs for A New World. She has been seen in numerous national commercials and has contributed her voice to multiple recordings, including an adaptation of Wuthering Heights the Musical, written by Mark Ryan. Her engagement at Show @ Barre's For The Record: John Hughes The Concert just finsihed in December to sold out seats and won Jessica a new place in their coveted family of fantastic performers. She is a proud member of Equity, and sends a huge SHA-BOOM to the ladies at KSR, her Mom and Dad, and the incredible Michael Donovan for their love and support.

Michael Arden's Broadway and Off-Broadway Shows include BIG RIVER, THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN', BARE, IT'S ONLY LIFE, SWIMMING IN THE SHALLOWS, ACE, GOD OF VENGEANCE, The Common PURSUIT, JUNO, AS YOU LIKE IT, THE WINTER'S TALE and THE SECRET GARDEN. Other credits include PIPPIN directed by Jeff Calhoun at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and ASPECTS OF LOVE, directed by Sir Trevor Nunn, at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London. Michael can be seen in the films SOURCE CODE, BRIDE WARS, THE GOOD SHEPHERD and the upcoming ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN. His television credits include OFF THE MAP, KINGS, THE CLOSER, THE FORGOTTEN, BONES, THE RETURN OF JEZEBEL JAMES, CASHMERE MAFIA, GREY'S ANATOMY and NUMB3RS. Michael joined Barbra Streisand on her first ever EUROPEAN TOUR, and has also given numerous concerts at venues including FEINSTEIN'S at the REGENCY and JOE'S PUB in New York City and most recently at the Ford's Theater in Washington DC. in Los Angeles. Michael trained in Drama at THE JUILLIARD SCHOOL. His composing/songwriting credits include EASTER RISING and THE GODS ON THE CEILING and music for AS YOU LIKE IT (Juilliard) as well as contributing songs for the web-series THE BATTERY'S DOWN. He also writes and performs in a Los Angeles based band, ADDING MACHINE.
