Additional Performers Revealed for LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS on Telemundo

The anticipation continues to grow for the first-ever "Latin American Music Awards" with the addition of eight artists to its exciting list of performers, and the first set of celebrities scheduled to present awards. The coveted event, taking place on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from the prestigious Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California, will begin with a one-hour red carpet pre-show special at 8pm/7c, followed by the Awards Show at 9pm/8c to broadcast live on TELEMUNDO, and simultaneously on NBC Universo. The night will culminate at 11:35pm/10:35c, with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look during the special "Latin American Music Awards: Acceso VIP."

The inaugural "Latin American Music Awards" will showcase performances by Mexican singer, actress, television music competition judge, model and businesswoman Paulina Rubio, also known as the Queen of Latin Pop and nominee for Favorite Female Artist; three-time "Latin AMAs" nominee and Puerto Rican urban super star Daddy Yankee, who is embarking on his first world tour; Latin pop singer, actress and TV host Yuri, a renowned platinum recording artist; Mexican brother and sister duo Jesse & Joy, who just launched their powerful new single "Ecos de Amor" and are up for Favorite Duo or Group-Pop/Rock; award-winning Latin pop trio Reik, currently celebrating 10 years since their 2005 debut album proved a phenomenon and nominee in the category of Favorite Duo or Group-Pop/Rock; Puerto Rican Reggaeton singer-songwriter Farruko, one of the most exciting young musical acts from the genre who is up for Favorite Song-Tropical; Colombian singer-songwriter Fonseca, who is set to release his much awaited album "Conexión"; and Jamaican-American reggae Fusion singer and DJ Shaggy, who boasts more than two Decades of chart-topping songs around the world. They join previously announced performances by Lil Jon, Yandel, Natalie La Rose, Jencarlos Canela, Maluma, Luis Coronel,CD9, Gloria Trevi, Gerardo Ortiz and Il Volo.

The awards celebration will honor today's most influential and iconic Latin artists, as voted by the fans in the traditional format of the "American Music Awards," the world's biggest fan-voted award show. Confirmed award presenters include TV personalities Angelica Vale, Gaby Espino, and Maria Celeste Arraras, and musical artists Calibre 50, Chino y Nacho and Chiquis Rivera. Fans from the United States and Puerto Rico can vote online now at www.LatinAMAs.com/vota, through Wednesday, September 30th at 12pm Eastern Time to determine the winners. Fans worldwide can vote via Twitter by posting a tweet that contains first and last name of the nominee, category and the hashtag #LatinAMAs.
