In the midst of their first National concert tour and their first major magazine cover spread, Well-Strung, The Singing String Quartet, will make their debut at New York's celebrated Broadway club 54 Below with shows on February 2 and March 16 at 9:30 PM. The foursome have been referred to as "absolutely amazing" by BBC Radio host Jo Good during their recent London debut, and as "the hottest thing with a bow since Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games" by the New York Daily News. The new show directed by Donna Drake features new arrangements of songs by Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift and Third Eye Blind among others as well as new material written by Jeffery Roberson (aka Varla Jean Merman). Well-Strung have quickly gained national and international attention for their unique mash-up of string quartet and boy band. The foursome features classical musicians who sing, putting their own spin on the music of Mozart, Vivaldi, Ke$ha, Pink, Adele, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and more. They are Edmund Bagnell (first violin), Christopher Marchant (second violin), Daniel Shevlin (cello) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola). Music arrangements are by David Levinson with additional arrangements by Daniel Shevlin, Yair Evnine and Chris Marchant. The show is conceived by Christopher Marchant & Mark Cortale and written by Ms. Drake & Mr. Cortale, with additional material contributed by Jeffery Roberson.

Their current national tour has included West Coast debut dates over the holiday season at Feinstein's at the Nikko in San Francisco, Rockwell in Los Angeles, Martinis Above Fourth in San Diego, and The Copa Room in Palm Springs. Well-Strung's US dates continue with Winter Rendezvous in Stowe, VT (Jan. 24), 54 Below in NYC (Feb. 2 and March 16), Actor's Express Theatre in Atlanta (Feb. 14 - 16), The Palm in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (Feb. 18 - March 1), South Orange Performing Arts Center in New Jersey (March 21), Illusion Theater in Minneapolis (April 10), Batavia Fine Arts Center in Illinois (April 12), The Rrazz Room in New Hope, PA (May 9 - 10), Gay Pride Rockland in Nyack, NY (June 7), and the Pocono Community Theater (June 21).

The group first began performing together in a workshop production of the show directed by Ms. Drake at Ars Nova in NYC on Feb. 28th, 2012. Musical arrangements were by Mr. Levinson with additional arrangements by Mr. Shevlin. That same show sold out at Joe's Pub in May of 2012 before having an extended debut run that summer at The Art House in Provincetown, MA and playing Off-Broadway at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater last fall. The group returned to Off-Broadway for the first three weeks of March, 2013, and sold-out the Highline Ballroom for one night in early May. Most recently they returned to P-Town for a summer-long run of a new show, and made their debut on London's West End at the Leicester Square Theatre earlier this fall. The foursome's debut album was released on Twist Records on February 28, and was produced by Matt Farber (Founder of LOGO Network) and Mark Cortale. The music video for their "mash-up" of Mozart meets Kelly Clarkson debuted this past summer and has been featured in the Huffington Post, ABC Television, and many other media outlets.
