Black Sheep Management & Productions and Firefly: Theater & Films will present the third annual iteration of Unscreened, a lively evening of four world-premiere short plays by some of Hollywood's fastest-rising writers and featuring a multi-star cast, opening Sunday, March 3 at the Lillian Theater. For the first time, Black Sheep and Firefly are proud to announce that Unscreened 2013 will be presented in partnership with Anonymous Content, a leading multimedia development, production, and talent management company.

Performances will run Saturday, Sunday, and Monday evenings at 8:00pm through Sunday, March 24. Tickets are available at www.unscreenedla.com or by calling Brown Paper Tickets at (800) 838-3006.

The writers of Unscreened this year include: Will Wissler Graham (Onion News Network, Sportsdome), Corinne Kingsbury (The Newsroom), Daria Polatin (Till It Gets Weird, award-winning playwright), and Mallory Westfall (Oliver Stone Screenwriting Award-nominee). Directors include Oscar-nominee Colin Campbell, Anna Christopher, and the writers Will Wissler Graham and Daria Polatin.

The exciting cast includes Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project, Hump Day), Spencer Garrett (Iron Man 3, Hitchcock), Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield), Brooke Bloom (Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close), Kelli Garner (Lars and the Real Girl), Will Greenberg (In Lieu of Flowers, Cloverfield), Steven Klein (Nature, Make Believe), Lindsey Kraft (Epic Movie), and Daryl Sabara (Generator Rex, Weeds). Additional cast will be announced shortly and kept up-to-date at www.unscreenedla.com.

Black Sheep Management & Productions and Firefly: Theater & Films created Unscreened in order to give brilliant and buzz-generating screenwriters and TV writers the chance to see their visions fully realized at a pace and depth of collaboration that film and TV cannot accommodate but theater can; and to work hands-on with the well-known actors that these writers and producers are regularly meeting in their day jobs.

Anonymous Content joined the team for 2013, with Nicole Romano and David Kanter announcing, "We are excited to support Unscreened, because Jordana, Brendan, and Steven have proven that they are excellent curators and tastemakers whose working style with writers and directors has already yielded wonderful results. We hope that by supporting Unscreened's new program of short plays in 2013, we can contribute to this excellent series."

Producers Steven Klein and Jordana Mollick responded, "We are thrilled and honored to have Anonymous Content's partnership for 2013. Unscreened 2011 and 2012 proved the concept - that the immediacy of theater gives these writers the rare opportunity to work directly with actors on The Words they write, and that this leads to an exciting time for audience and creative teams alike - and the long-proven experience and taste of Anonymous Content will only serve to further elevate the evening."

Of the eight short plays created for Unscreened 2011 and 2012, four led to further projects, most notably: Life Partners, by Susanna Fogel and Joni Lefkowitz, which was adapted into a feature film developed at the 2012 Sundance Lab and included Unscreened cast-member Will Greenberg; T*TS, by Leslye Headland, which is being work-shopped by Second Stage into a full-length play; Beth Schacter's Turned Out, which is being developed into a TV concept; and Michelle Morgan, who built on her directorial debut with Unscreened to direct her short film K.I.T, which just premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

ABOUT THE PRODUCERS

In 2009, principals Brendan Bragg and Jordana Mollick partnered to create management/Production Company Black Sheep Management & Productions with the objective of developing and producing a diverse slate of films and managing a carefully picked collage of writer and director clients. In addition to Beth Schacter's A Virgin Mary, which will star Abigail Breslin and Keke Palmer, Black Sheep is currently producing Life Partners, written by Susanna Fogel & Joni Lefkowitz, which is a part of this year's Sundance writers lab and creative producing fellowship based on their 2011 Unscreened play of the same name. Black Sheep also produced the short Rich Girl Problems directed by Unscreened alum Emily Halpern and starring Ellie Kemper, Jesse Williams, Zach Woods, and Julia Jones.

With equal footing in both media, Firefly: Theater & Films has been telling stories for more than 15 years. Firefly theater projects have garnered over two-dozen awards for shows in Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Belfast, Off-West End London, and Off-Broadway, and its films have won awards at dozens of festivals internationally. Firefly's LAFF-winning documentary, Make Believe, completed a theatrical release last year, was named one of Ebert's Top Docs of 2011 and is now on Showtime, DVD, iTunes, Netflix, etc. Firefly's shorts films by directors Seth Gordon, Eric Stoltz, and Robin Larsen are now airing on ShortsHD and are available on iTunes. Next up for Firefly: a Broadway musical in development, a fiction feature with 2929 and Magnolia, and a new documentary now in production.
