Also in the cast are Tea Leoni, Tim Daly and Geoffrey Arend. The Secretary of State series MADAM SECRETARY comes from Barbara Hall (Joan of Arcadia) and Morgan Freeman.

Hall wrote the script, which centers on "a maverick female Secretary of State as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life".

Miller will play 'Daisy', press coordinator to Secretary of State McGill (Leoni).

She will next be seen in the final installments of The Hunger Games big screen franchise: Mockingjay - Parts 1 and 2. Miller won the 2013 Tony Award for her performance in PIPPIN on Broadway. She was also nominated for her role in 2011's SISTER ACT.
