T.R. Knight Reveals Reasons For 'GREY'S' Exit To EW

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly's Michael Aussiello, former "Grey's Anatomy" star T.R. Knight talks about his decision to leave the hit series.

Knight tells Aussiello regarding his character's exit that, "My five-year experience proved to me that I could not trust any answer that was given about George."

Last season Knight's character was hardly ever on screen and the actor decided to leave rather than ask for an explanation citing a gradual "breakdown in communication" between him and executive producer Shonda Rhimes.

Knight remarked to EW, "There just comes a time when it's so clear that moving on is the best decision." To read more of the interview click here.

T.R. Knight will star in a Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor. The production will be directed by Stanley Tucci and is looking at a February, 2010 Broadway opening. 

Knight was also recently announced to headline Center Theatre Group's production of PARADE. Knight will star as Leo Frank in the production, which begins previews on September 24, 2009, at the CTG/Mark Taper Forum. PARADE is scheduled to open October 4 and performances will continue through November 15. He appeared on Broadway opposite Patti LuPone in the 2001 revival of "Noises Off," as well as in "Tartuffe" and received a Drama Desk nomination for his role in off-Broadway's "Scattergood."
