Swoosie Kurtz Lands Guest Role on 'Chuck'

Swoosie Kurtz, Broadway star of FROZEN and HEARTBREAK HOUSE and star "Dangerous Liaisons" and the television show "Pushing Daisies," has recently landed a guest role on the NBC comedy, "Chuck." Kurtz's episode is expected to premiere late in the season, sometime in Spring, 2010.

Kurtz will star alongside comedian Fred Willard as a detective duo, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Kurtz, who will play Hesione Hushabye, is a Tony Award-winner for her performances in House of Blue Leaves and Fifth of July. She has also received nominations for her work in Frozen and Tartuffe, while other Broadway credits include Imaginary Friends, Love Letters and A History of the American Film. She is a nine-time Emmy Award-nominee and was a regular on "Huff." Kurtz recently appeard on the television show "Pushing Daisies" and on Broadway in Roundabout's production of Heartbreak House.
