Steve Carell to Produce INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT

According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Javerbaum, former Daily Show writer, just sold a movie pitch to Summit Entertainment called International Incident. He will also write the screenplay. As of now, it is said that Ken Jeong will star in the film. Steve Carell is also in negotiations to produce through his Carousel Productions banner.

International Incident is about five United Nations delegates who decide to go on a road trip across country in search of their lost loves.

Carell is best known for his role of Michael Scott on the American remake of The Office. Hehas also starred in lead roles in the films The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine, Evan Almighty, Dan in Real Life, Get Smart, Date Night, Dinner for Schmucks, Crazy, Stupid, Love., and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World; and voiced characters in the animated films Over the Hedge, Horton Hears a Who!, and Despicable Me. Carell was nominated as "America's funniest man" in Life magazine, and received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Comedy Series for playing the lead role of Michael Scott for The Office in 2006.

On the producing front, Carell has worked on both film and TV projects. His current projects are Our Thing and Mail-Order Groom, both still in development.
