According to Deadline, Patrick Wilson will reportedly join Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Michel Pena in Marvel's upcoming live-action adaptation of ANT-MAN. As of now, there's no word on who Wilson would be playing. As previously reported, Evangeline Lilly has also been approached for a role in the film.

Edgar Wright will direct the film from a script he co-wrote with Joe Cornish. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will produce the film with Nira Park.

Ant-Man is scheduled to be released by Walt Disney Pictures on July 31, 2015.

In 2003, Wilson won critical acclaim for his performance in Mike Nichols' 2003 drama HBO mini-series Angels in America. He received both a Golden Globe nomination and an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Wilson has appeared in feature films such as The Alamo, The Phantom of the Opera, Little Children, Watchmen, The A-Team, The Ledge, Insidious, and The Conjuring. He starred in the CBS drama A Gifted Man, which premiered in 2011 and was cancelled in 2012.

His Broadway credits include: All My Sons, Barefoot in the Park, Something Good, Oklahoma!, The Full Monty, and The Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm.
