Naomie Harris Joins Jake Gyllenhaal in Anton Fuqua's SOUTHPAW

According to Deadline, SKYFALL actress Naomie Harris has signed on to join Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams in The Weinstein Company's upcoming boxing drama SOUTHPAW.

Antoine Fuqua will direct the project written by Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. Fuqua, Alan Riche and Peter Riche will produce.

SOUTHPAW follows "a welterweight champion who rises in his profession while his personal life falls apart." The film has yet to cast its second lead according to the report, that of "Titus 'Tick' Willis, a former fighter who was forced to retire after losing an eye and was on his way to becoming a pro trainer but retreated after his son was killed."

Gyllenhaal's upcoming projects include Everest and Nightcrawler. Among his recent film credits are Enemy, Prisoners, End of Watch, Source Code, Love & Other Drugs and more.
