Matt Bomer has signed on to play Monty Clift in the upcoming film of the same title. The synopsis of the film, which is scheduled to film in 2014 for a 2015 release, is as follows: "A young Montgomery Clift finds himself in love with a young Elizabeth Taylor following the filming of A Place In The Sun."

The casting was confirmed on Twitter today by producer Michael Din. No word yet on who is poised to play Elizabeth Taylor and, according to Din, an official filming schedule is not yet in place.

Bomer's other upcoming projects include Winter's Tale, Space Station 76, and Ryan Murphy's The Normal Heart for HBO. His recent film credits include Magic Mike and In Time. Other TV credits include Chuck, Traveler, Tru Calling and Guiding Light.
