Mary Elizabeth Winstead Joins John Goodman in J.J. Abrams' THE CELLAR

According to Deadline Hollywood, Mary Elizabeth Winstead ("Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," "Live Free or Die Hard") has been tapped to star alongside John Goodman in the new J.J. Abrams film "The Cellar." The story of the film revolves around a young woman who is in a car accident and wakes up living in a fallout bunker with a Doomsday Day prepper who tells her that there has been a chemical attack, and that the outside world has been destroyed. Unsure of what is true and not, Winstead's character decides she must escape and see for herself.

Dan Trachtenberg is directing, and the script is by Josh Campbell and Matthew Stuecken, with rewrites by Dan Casey. The movie is from from Bad Robot and Paramount Insurge, and is produced by Abrams, Jon Cohen, and Lindsey Weber.
