LOVE IS STRANGE, set in New York City, centers on a just-married gay couple -- Ben and Jorge -- played by Lithgow and Molina, respectively. After 38 years together, the couple is forced to live with friends and family after losing their apartment. Tomei will play Kate, a novelist married to Ben's nephew.

Tomei will next appear in Adam Rapp's Why Now?! and an as-of-yet untitled comedy with Hugh Grant. Past credits include Parental Guidance, The Ides of March, Crazy, Stupid, Love., The Wrestler, Anger Management, Happy Accidents and more.

Filming will kick off this month in NYC.
