This year marks the 50th anniversary of the classic THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and Julie Andrews has already hinted towards some of the content to be featured on the upcoming special DVD. She recently partnered with former co-star Christopher Plummer, who played Captain von Trapp, to film exclusive footage for the DVD.

"We've added another 40 minutes to an hour to the documentary on the making of it, and we went a lot of places for it, which was amazing." Andrews stated. "The 'kids' were not there; they're doing separate things, but we're all getting together at some point."

On New Year's Day, Julie Andrews returned for the sixth time to host PBS' annual 'Great Performances' special 'From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration 2015'. This year's installment featured a performance from Vienna State Ballet and the Vienna Philharmonic.

"I learn a lot doing these wonderful shows, I really do." Andrews said. "It's always a revelation how much there is to see, all the homes and palaces, and it's just glorious there anyway. One of my locations will be looking out over the town hall, which will be completely lit."
