Ronald Reagan seems to be a hot topic these days, with REAGAN the third biopic recently greenlit in Hollywood. THE BUTLER is based on a story first published in the Washington Post after President Obama came to office. It centers on EuGene Allen, a White House employee who served as a butler through eight presidential administrations spanning from 1952 to 1986. Jane Fonda and Allen Rickman are set to portray the Reagans.

Michael Douglas will portray the president in REYKJAVIK. The film takes place over several days in the year 1986 when Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev met for talks in a spa in the Icelandic capital to iron out peace against the backdrop of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
