Jamie Lee Curtis Involved in Serious Car Accident

TMZ reports that Jamie Lee Curtis was rushed to the hospital yesterday following a serious car accident which occurred in a "highly trafficked area" of Venice, CA. The actress was a passenger in the SUV involved in the incident.

According to the report, Curtis, along with another injured person involved in the accident, were taken to area emergency rooms. The actress was released a short time later with minor injuries.

Curtis is best known for her starring roles in several horror films including Halloween, The Fog, Prom Night, and Terror Train. She has won BAFTA and Golden Globe awards and has starred in other films including A Fish Called Wanda, Freaky Friday and Trading Places. Her 1998 book,Today I Feel Silly, and Other Moods That Make My Day, made the best-seller list in The New York Times.
