Harvey Fierstein Set for Guest Role in NURSE JACKIE

Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein will make a guest apperance on the second season of the hit series 'Nurse Jackie'.

'Nurse Jackie' is a Showtime series created by Evan Dunsky and Liz Brixius & Linda Wallem. It is inspired by the provocative journal of a real-life Manhattan ER nurse.

The show stars Edie Falco, Eve Best, Anna Deavere Smith, Dominic Fumusa, and Peter Facinelli.

Harvey Fierstein starred as the iconic milkman Tevye in the recent critically acclaimed Broadway production of 'Fiddler on the Roof.' He is currently playing the role in the Toronto production of the show. Fierstein has won four TONY awards including Best Book of a Play and Best Actor in a Play for Torch Song Trilogy. His most recent win was the 2003 TONY for Best Actor in a Musical for the Broadway production of Hairspray. In addition to his TONY Award winning role in the Torch Song Trilogy, Fierstein recreated the role in the film adaptation thus winning him an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Male Lead. Other film work includes, Mrs. Doubtfire, Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway and Independence Day.
