Fox is narrowing in on its FANTASTIC FOUR.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new group of names have emerged in contention for the leads in the planned reboot.

Kate Mara and Emmy Rossum reportedly screen tested for the role of 'Sue Storm,' also known as The Invisible Woman, yesterday, while WHIPLASH's Miles Teller tested for Reed Richard/Mr. Fantastic.

Christian Cook also reportedly read for Ben Grimm.

With Kit Harington booking TESTMAMENT OF YOUTH on Tuesday, he's no longer in the running to play Mr. Fantastic. Saoirse Ronan has also exited the mix due to scheduling issues.

Sources confirmed earlier this year that the reboot is approaching the Fantastic Four in a more grounded way, taking the route of Christopher Nolan's BATMAN films. The impending reboot is also said to explore the mythology and lore of the acclaimed comic series.

As per Marvel, "The Fantastic Four is an internationally-renowned group of superhuman champions (often dubbed the world's premiere super hero team or The First Family of super heroes) based in New York City and dedicated to the betterment of the world through scientific discovery and defense against evil."

The Fantastic Four are long-time hot Marvel commodities. FOX has developed two films based upon them, including 2005's FANTASTIC FOUR and 2007's FANTASTIC 4: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. The films starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chicklis.
