A 'super-sized' version of the hit sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will hit theaters today in advance the film's release on Blu-ray/DVD on April 1. Despite the huge success of the franchise's latest installment, director Adam McKay tells Empire magazine that a third full length feature is not in the cards.

"It's done," McKay said. "I think that's it. It was great to do it and it was so fun to work with those guys again, but I think that's it for Ron Burgundy. No, that's the last sequel we're gonna do. There's nothing more fun to me than new characters and a new world. And now we're releasing this alt version, we're totally satisfied. No Anchorman 3."

The original film earned a whopping $90.6 million worldwide on a $26 million budget. The latest installment garnered $169.3 million on a mere $50 million budget.
