After winning several prestigious awards, Director James Brylowski has released A Mile in These Hooves, the Best of Festival Winner of the Claremont 5 Second Film Festival, on Youtube for widespread distribution.

The video can be viewed at http://www.5SecondFilmFestival.com.

The story depicts best friends who embark on a journey to set the world's record for the longest trek on foot for two people in a costume, this being a burlap donkey suit. The mockumentary traces their steps from Toronto, Canada to Venice Beach, California as they encounter love, friendship and grueling heat.

Director Brylowski drew upon his own creative background to form the basis of the film. He majored in comedy writing at Humber College and applied geography at Ryerson University. The film was shot in stunning American landscapes. The extraordinary cinematography reflects Brylowski's years of experience as a professional photographer.

Brylowski has also won for best comedy in both the Cabbagetown Short Film and Video Festival and the Yorkton Short Film and Video Festival. The film also won Best Film at the Wild Sound Film Festival along with winning the Platinum Remi Award at the WorldFest in Houston.

The Claremont 5 Second Film Festival screens shorts up to 20 minutes from around the world. The festival is held in the eclectic city of Claremont, California and includes an international line up of submissions. Past Best of Festival winners have included The Butterfly Circus directed by Joshua Weigel and The Man Who Never Cried directed by Bradley Jackson. Proceeds from the festival fund other cultural events and a music education program for deserving children.
