Lyft Launches Ghost Mode with Sony Pictures to Celebrate GHOSTBUSTERS Release

You no longer need a jumpsuit and a proton pack to hitch a ride in the Ecto-1. In celebration of summer's highly anticipated reboot of Ghostbusters, in theaters July 15, todayLyft and Sony Pictures announce a collaboration to launch Ghost Mode, an option in the Lyft app that will offer Ecto-1 rides to passengers in cities across the country.

On Friday, July 1, and Saturday, July 2, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. local time, passengers in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington D.C. can toggle into Ghost Mode and request a free ride in an Ecto-1 car. Ghost Mode will feature both original Ecto-1's from the new film as well as replicas.

Lyft passengers who catch a ride in Ghost Mode will also have the chance to take home in-car swag and giveaways, such as Hi-C Ecto Coolers and Ghostbusters-themed Twinkies by Hostess. Two lucky winners will take home the grand prize of two tickets each to theGhostbustersWorld Premiere in Los Angeles on July 9th.
