Burger and lobster lovers will be delighted by the newest addition to the Broadway theater district's dining scene. Burger & Lobster, a Flatiron favorite, now has a Bryant Park location, just steps away from the Great White Way.

Burger & Lobster's Bryant Park location is the second one in New York City and the second in the United States. The restaurant was founded in London and there are 18 of the popular eateries worldwide. You'll love the pricing. Delicious meals served with all the trimmings start at $16.00.

Burger & Lobster has its entrance at 132 West 43rd Street, in the building that houses the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Look for the lobster traps leading to the restaurant's entrance. Once inside, be sure to view a few of the mammoth lobsters swimming in the glass tanks.

The dining area includes an expansive bar with high top tables, perfect for drinks before or after the theater. And guests also have great seating options with comfortable banquets and tables that will accommodate parties of all sizes. Fans will recognize Burger & Lobster's signature décor with vibrant red upholstery, attractive wooden furnishings and a collection of lobster traps. The spacious new venue has towering ceilings and an open kitchen.

We stopped by for a pre-theatre dinner on a Saturday night. The service was prompt and excellent. You can be certain of enjoying a delightful meal at a reasonable price, and be able to make your show's curtain with time to spare. Executive Chef Danny Lee's menu includes familiar items along with some exciting new options. We indulged in a few of our favorites. The Original Burger ($20) is a juicy, tender 10-ounce burger garnished with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and B & L's secret sauce. The Original Lobster Roll ($25) has succulent lobster meat tossed in Japanese mayo with chives. Each entree comes with a fresh salad and a generous portion of light, crispy fries. We had just a little more room left for one of B & L's fabulous desserts, their strawberry cheesecake.

And we'll be back soon to put on our lobster bibs and enjoy a 1-pound Lobster ($20), served steamed or grilled, with the house's famous garlic butter.

Burger & Lobster's Bryant Park location also offers a Po' Boy with corn crusted fried lobster clusters, spicy remoulade; Burger Bites with tiny Hereford beef patties, American and Cheddar cheese and house made pickles, wrapped in crispy puff pastry and served with a side of secret burger sauce; and Lobster Bites made with lobster and shrimp, lemon zest and chives wrapped in puffy pastry served with side of homemade sweet chili sauce. A highlight of the new menu is The Tower with any two burgers, any two lobster rolls, two whole one pound lobsters, any three sauces, unlimited fries, unlimited salad, and any four specialty cocktails or a bottle of Cava all beautifully presented on a two tiered tray. The Tower is perfect for a group outing.

Burger & Lobster offers beef that is always top grade Hereford from Nebraska with a proprietary blend of three cuts. The lobsters are from Nova Scotia and have conditions identical to their North Atlantic home throughout the transportation and storage process. The burger's sesame seeded brioche, potato hamburger buns, as well as the lobster roll buns, are custom baked. The pickled onions and pickles, along with all sauces, are completely house made.

Burger & Lobster is not just all about great food, they have great drinks too. Pairing your meal with wines, beer, champagne, cocktails and mocktails is easy. There's even a beer made exclusive for the restaurant by Sixpoint Brewery along with the custom blended B & L California Chardonnay and the B & L Red, a Cabernet Franc from the Finger Lakes region of NY. We enjoyed a few of their top-notch cocktails made with only premium spirits. The Broadway Baby is a delightful mix of Aviation Gin, Giffard Pamplemousse Rose, simple syrup, fresh lime juice and Angostura Bitters. The Fling is a refreshing blend of Reyka vodka, fresh lemon juice, basil syrup and strawberry puree. Guests will enjoy other cleverly themed cocktails like The Beautiful that pays homage to the mega-hit performed in the theater downstairs composed of Dorothy Parker Gin, dry vermouth, Giffard Blue Curacao, fresh lemon and cranberry juices, and simple syrup.

Treat yourself, before or after the theatre, or anytime. One trip to Burger & Lobster will never be enough. You'll be telling your friends about it in no time. It's an ideal location for Broadway bound diners and many more.
