The Winemakers Co-Op will hold its first wine tasting of the year in fine fashion on the sprawling lawns of Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes, on Saturday, June 18th from 3 to 7pm. The Fine Wine Showcase is a tasting of some of NJ's premier wines, including the latest offerings from Beneduce Vineyards, Heritage Vineyards, Working Dog Winery, and Unionville. Each of these wineries prides itself on producing fine dry wines from New Jersey grown grapes, and the Fine Wine Showcase will be a unique opportunity for NJ wine enthusiasts to taste the favorite wines of each of these producers, as well as some library and unreleased wines.

The event will include an optional VIP experience, which allows guests early access to the event grounds, beginning at 2pm. VIPs will be able to participate in a special winemakers' roundtable conversation and tasting in Unionville's 1858 Farmhouse. Titled "Signature Reds," this will be an opportunity for exclusive access to the winemakers of the Co-Op in an intimate tasting experience as they discuss the red wines that best represent their philosophy and brand. VIPs will have special access, tastings, and light fare at the Farmhouse throughout the event. The 19th century Farmhouse was the original homestead of the farm, and sits at the top of the hill overlooking both Unionville's Home Vineyard and the entire grounds of the Showcase event.

The rain or shine event will be indoor/outdoor on the winery property, which includes spacious lawns and a large, tented patio space. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse will offer grilled specialties, and Mike Dugan's Cheek2Cheek will play blues-inspired jazz covers and originals throughout the afternoon and early evening. Dugan is an underground Blues legend in New Jersey, having shared the stage with B.B. King, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Les Paul. Guests will enjoy the walk-around wine tasting with over 30 bottles specially chosen from the member wineries for this event, or find plenty of seating and space to relax and enjoy the afternoon. The event will give NJ wine enthusiasts an unparalleled experience to meet and chat with the winemakers and winery owners from each of the four NJ wine estates.

Admission will be limited to just 400 people to guarantee a relaxed, enjoyable setting for the tasting event. The host of this event, Unionville Vineyards, is located at 9 Rocktown Road in Ringoes. The 28-year old winery is one of NJ's oldest and most storied. An active farm for over 150 years, the winery is nestled in the midst of Hunterdon County farmland and horse pasture. Early bird tickets are on sale now for $29 through June 1st at http://www.thewinemakersco-op.com. After that date, general admission tickets will increase to $35 per person. The VIP experience is $55 per person. Likely to be a sellout, interested parties are strongly encouraged to buy their tickets in advance.
