After one trip to Jimmy's No. 43, you'll know that you found a gem in the heart of the East Village. It will likely become one of your favorite spots. Jimmy's has been on the local food scene for over a decade and here's to many, many more. Don't be surprised if the owner, Jimmy Carbone greets you and makes you feel right at home.

Located at 43 East 7th Street and 2nd Avenue, Jimmy's No. 43 is a flight down and a world apart from the bustling streets. The vibe is just right, comfortable and relaxing with low lighting, a spacious bar, high-top tables and seating to accommodate parties of all sizes. Service is prompt and friendly, perfect for the venue. We stopped by on a Friday night for dinner and drinks.

Jimmy's No. 43 offers an impressive beverage program. Spirits from New York distillers are served neat or on the rocks. We selected one of our favorite drinks, the "Reverse Martini" from their impressive cocktail menu. Jimmy's has long been a force in the craft beer scene with featured beers, over a dozen on tap and many, many more by the bottle. Wine lovers will be impressed by their list, curated by Jimmy himself.

We like the food selections that make pairing easy with just the right variety. Jimmy's "Tito King's Kitchen" has a grass fed beef burger sourced from Fletcher's Craft Butchery that is one of the best you'll find in the city. A favorite of Jimmy's regulars are the savory Chicken Wings Adobo braised and marinated with soy, vinegar and garlic. Be sure to add some light, crispy fries or Lumpia Shanghai Spring Rolls to round out your meal. And don't leave without having a house specialty, Jimmy's renowned Banana Bread Pudding.

Go solo, plan a date, or gather some friends. Stop by for a meal, drinks, lite bites, dessert or late night. Jimmy's No 43 is a place to enjoy and linger for a while. Join them soon for special events like their "Hot Pepper Salon," or the "Biscuits & a biscuit stand."

Jimmy's No. 43 is located at 43 E 7th St. (at 2nd Avenue), New York, NY 10003. Call them at 212.982.3006 and visit their web site for more details at www.jimmysno.43.com.
