Tapestry Dance Company to Open Season with SOUL/SOLE CONNECTIONS at Long Center, 10/21-11/2

Tapestry Dance Company - one of our city's oldest continuously running performing arts groups - 'kicks' off its 26th season this year with SOUL/SOLE CONNECTIONS, October 21 - November 2 at the Long Center! Tapestry Artistic Director Acia Gray co-founded the company with Deirdre Strand nearly 30 years ago...ever since then Acia and Tapestry have been dynamic members of the Austin arts community. Acia has been an active performing member of the Tapestry troupe from day one, and this year, she is back on stage along with some other heavy hitters. "This season we are welcoming five new dancers from around the country to join us in our beautiful city," said Gray. "We look forward to our upcoming premiere on Halloween weekend, and our popular annual production 'Of Mice & Music - A Jazz Nutcracker' with live music including 'Austin's Best Drummer' Masumi Jones this December."
