Steps Beyond announces another of its lively and informative Artists Talks with three "Broadway Babies" who can rightly be called The Women of Fosse - Diane Laurenson, Dana Moore and Mimi Quillin. Laurenson and Moore have appeared in five Fosse shows between them - Sweet Charity, Chicago, Fosse, Dancin', and Big Deal, and Quillin performed in Sweet Charity and was also assistant to Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. The Broadway veterans will share fascinating stories about the great choreographer, drawn from their personal experiences and highlighted by film clips, followed by a Q&A session and reception. Sunday October 5, 7:30 PM at Steps on Broadway, 4th floor.

Diane Laurenson has worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years as a performer, choreographer, teacher, and stagehand. In addition to her Fosse shows, she appeared on Broadway in Dangerous Games and Gypsy (twice! plus the TV movie starring Bette Midler). She performed in national and international tours of Dancin', West Side Story and Anything Goes, and was the lead Frug dancer in the concert version of Sweet Charity at Lincoln Center for BC/EFA/AMFAR. Regional credits include A Chorus Line, 42nd Street and Chicago. Diane has recreated entire productions of Dancin', Sweet Charity and West Side Story. She is currently on faculty at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center, and is a guest teacher of theatre dance master classes at The London Studio Centre, and the California Musical Theatre Outreach and Education Department.

Dana Moore was last seen on Broadway as Hunyak ("not guilty") in Chicago. Other Broadway credits include A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity, Dancin', On Your Toes, The Will Rogers Follies, How to Succeed...., Singin' in the Rain, Dangerous Games, Sugar Babies and Copperfield. She has toured with Chicago and Falsettos and appeared in numerous films, including The Producers and Woody Allen's Everyone Says I Love You. Dana currently teaches at Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, and is a musical theatre faculty member at Marymount Manhattan College. In addition, she conducts master classes in cities across the USA and internationally, recently for the International Dance Intensive in Cyprus, Bardar Dance Institute in Oslo, Tapage Dance Company in Toulouse, and the Jazz Musical Theatre Program at Jacob's Pillow.

Mimi Quillin appeared on Broadway in Ragtime, Ain't Broadway Grand, and Sweet Charity with Bob Fosse, who awarded her a scholarship to the Strasberg Institute, an experience that turned her vision towards acting and being cast in numerous plays Off-Broadway and in England. She regards her time with Fosse and Gwen Verdon, as both dancer and their assistant, as the foundation underlying the philosophy of her work as a performer, choreographer and writer. Mimi has taught over a span of three decades, training students in professional dance as well as actors and non-dancers studying for pleasure. Her many teaching credits include the Boston Conservatory of Music, the Milwaukee Ballet Company School (where she received much of her early training), the University of Wisconsin, and the University of California at Irvine, to name a few.

Steps Beyond, a division of Steps on Broadway, embodies the philosophy that Steps on Broadway is a studio for professionals, and for dancers training to be professionals. Its mission is to connect dancers with the wider artistic community by providing opportunities to translate and interpret their daily dance training into performance, and to gain access to people working in the industry.

Performance opportunities include the Performance Lab Series, Celebrate Dance, The Faculty in Performance, and various other dance and music concerts.
