Audiences will have to wait just a little bit longer to see international ice dance sensation The Imperial Ice Stars in the Toronto premiere of its acclaimed Sleeping Beauty on Ice. Sony Centre For The Performing Arts has announced that this spectacular ice ballet - featuring more than two dozen of the best figure skaters in the world - will now take place at the Sony Centre for three shows only: Friday, November 20 at 7:30pm and Saturday, November 21 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm (and not March 14-15 as previously announced).

Patrons who have already purchased tickets can use them for the new dates or get a refund and will be contacted by their sources of sale. Tickets for the new dates for Sleeping Beauty on Ice - November 20 & November 21 - are on sale now, and are available by calling the Box Office at 1-855-872-SONY (7669), by visiting www.sonycentre.ca or in person at the Sony Centre Box Office.

Acclaimed Artistic Director Tony Mercer teamed with the distinguished Russian Olympic coach Tatiana Tarasova to take contemporary ice dance to a new level, inspiring the Olympic, World, European and National Championship skaters (with more than 200 medals between them) to perform feats so daring and complex they haven't yet been named!

The award-winning Imperial Ice Stars are the leading performers of theatrical ice skating on a theatrical stage. Four tonnes of crushed ice will be used to transform the Sony Centre stage into a magical ice rink where the ensemble will glide, defy gravity and soar through the air!

Set to Tchaikovsky's magnificent music, Sleeping Beauty on Ice will captivate audiences of all ages as it tells this timeless fairytale love story through astonishing high-speed leaps and throws, graceful and sublime ice dancing, awe-inspiring acrobatics and aerial gymnastics, stunning stilt skating and jaw-dropping visual effects. Ballet on blades at speeds of up to 50 kilometres per hour!
