The last thing Sophie expects to find at a funeral is love. Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre's new premiere, Sophie & Charlie, explores -- in dance telenovela form -- the shared life of two lovers. Over four consecutive weeks, HDDT will present dance performances in four neighborhoods around Los Angeles, premiering new installments of the couple's story, starting the day they meet and ending ... well ... who's to say.

Each performance takes place at a neighborhood hidden gem and features live music by LA-based musicians.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:

Sophie & Charlie: At the Funeral (with violinist Lili Haydn) - 9.26.15, 7pm & 9pm - Unitarian Universalist Church, 12355 Moorpark St. Studio City

Sophie & Charlie: First Date (with harpist/beatboxer Phillip King) - 10.1.15, 7:30pm - Beyond Baroque, 681 Venice Blvd. Venice

Sophie & Charlie: Intensive Care (with tuba player William Roper and guests) - 10.11.15, 4pm & 6pm - Semi-Vacant Hospital, 3831 Stocker St. Crenshaw

Sophie & Charlie: Garden Bout (with Los Angeles Percussion Quartet) - 10.18.15, 3pm & 5pm - Kings Road Park, 1000 N Kings Rd. West Hollywood

Tickets available at: bit.ly/sophieandcharlie.

Sophie & Charlie is made possible in part by grants from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs, and the City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission. This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
