Dance Academy USA announces that it will be offering free Baby Sensory classes during the month of April. Earlier this month, DAU revealed that it had been selected as the very first company to offer the Baby Sensory curriculum in California. Hundreds of companies and individuals in California recently competed for the opportunity to be the first to offer this program. DAU teachers Jenni Tibbils and Jane Carter were officially trained and certified last month and are now ready to begin teaching this unique program on an exclusive basis in Santa Clara County.

Dance Academy USA Co-founder, Jane Carter said that two classes will be held on April 5th, April 12th and April 26th at 1:00 pm and at 2:10 pm. She will be co-teaching the classes with DAU's Program Director Jenni Tibbils. There will be no class on April 19. "We will accept the first 10 babies per class - 20 total. These classes traditionally run with about 15 babies around the world - but for April only, we will accept no more than 10 babies per class total," Carter said.

Those interested in registering for the program should please contact the office today at (408) 257-3211. There are only 20 coveted spots, therefore, DAU encourages parents to reserve their spot immediately. No visitors, cameras or videos will be allowed in the classrooms for this program. "In other words, if you're in the room, you're participating in the class" added Jane Carter.

The Baby Sensory program aims to build up a vocabulary of sensory experiences (e.g. visual, auditory and tactile), to enhance physical contact between parent and baby and to promote the development of speech through the use of sign language, music, song and puppets. Activities vary weekly but all are excellent for developing physical, social and emotional, and language skills, co-ordination, awareness of the world, a love of music and the concentration needed for further development.

Dance Academy USA is the largest dance studio in Northern California and has served the San Jose area dance community for over twenty years. DAU is a Bay Area Green Business which offers classes in tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, Zumba, hip hop and breakdancing. DAU is also known for their award winning competition team which is Nationally Ranked. To learn more about Dance Academy, please visit their website at DanceAcademyUSA.com.
